I am a professional engineer with more than twelve years of experience in consulting and engineering management. I am also an experienced math and physics tutor supporting students at all levels from elementary math through to collegiate calculus and physics.

I Love Tutoring Because

I enjoy the lightbulb moment where a student suddenly comprehends a difficult or confusing concept, and watching their knowledge and understanding of the world increase. It is very fun to help a student apply a concept in a new way or to an interesting problem.

Kind and helpful, interrupted at end by time limit. Depending on the subject and student, it may help to mention an estimate on the number of questions that could be feasibly solved within the hour time frame when going over multiple problems from a set. Discretion is advised for this, as it could also lead to students rushing over questions if phrased or timed incorrectly.

Mr. Benjamin was a very kind, patient, and helpful tutor. While the math we were covering wasn't hard, it was a bit confusing, and I was having a hard time figuring out what to do. Mr. Benjamin walked me through each step, explained the process, and helped me get to where I needed to be to finish the problems. He also reviewed some topics, and taught me some new topics during our lesson. Overall, our session was very productive, and I really appreciate the work that Mr.Benjamin put in to help me finish my homework tonight.
